{"id":79,"date":"2008-08-04T11:31:25","date_gmt":"2008-08-04T11:31:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wwt.decamp.org\/?p=79"},"modified":"2013-03-03T12:09:45","modified_gmt":"2013-03-03T12:09:45","slug":"crazy-train","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/?p=79","title":{"rendered":"Crazy Train"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Where did the last month go?<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Let\u2019s see, highlights since my last post include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mary and Dick visited for two weeks in June (pictures posted)<\/li>\n<li>Heather graduated from High School on 6\/13 (pictures posted)<\/li>\n<li>Adam turned seventeen 6\/16 (pictures posted)<\/li>\n<li>Adam and I took a vacation to visit Tandy and Barbara at Lake Almanor over the July 4 break (I\u2019m working on the pictures)<\/li>\n<li>Kristin and family moved to Houston, TX and started building a new house (she\u2019s confirmed, BTW, that her baby due \u2018round Xmas is a girl \u2013 congratulations, Kristin and Ken!)<\/li>\n<li>Heather had her UCI overnight orientation<\/li>\n<li>Linda had the shockwave treatment done to her foot<\/li>\n<li>We traveled to Fenwick Island, DE for Pointer-Fest \u201908<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A crazy time, but lots of fun.\u00a0 Especially the trips to visit family.\u00a0 Barbara and Tandy were excellent hosts and we ran out of days far sooner than we would have run out of things to do.\u00a0 Highlights for me were the Main Street Independence Day parade (Barbara and Tandy seemed to know everyone worth knowing in the county) and watching the fireworks from the boat with Adam.\u00a0 I\u2019m only about half way through editing the pictures but hope to have them posted soon.<\/p>\n<p>We got back from Fenwick Island late Saturday.\u00a0 There were three full generations of Pointers under one roof for the first time in years.\u00a0 It was a lot of fun to see the extended family, some of which Heather, Adam, and I have not seen in two years.\u00a0\u00a0 My nieces and nephew had grown dramatically in that time.\u00a0 The trip went smooth, the house was great, and everything seemed to come together.\u00a0 Not sure everyone would be up for doing it again next year, but perhaps the year after.\u00a0 Vickie took family pictures, so hopefully those will turn out.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward, Adam starts his senior year of high school in less than three weeks.\u00a0 Heather has a little longer, going back in late September.<\/p>\n<p>Summer will be over in a blink.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where did the last month go?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[17],"class_list":["post-79","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-thoughts","tag-life"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/79","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=79"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/79\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":81,"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/79\/revisions\/81"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=79"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=79"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=79"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
