{"id":975,"date":"2018-01-21T13:24:41","date_gmt":"2018-01-21T13:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/?p=975"},"modified":"2026-04-30T23:42:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T23:42:43","slug":"lighten-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.decamp.org\/?p=975","title":{"rendered":"Lighten Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As many of you know, I&#8217;m planning to do a through-hike of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcta.org\/\">Pacific Crest Trail<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><strong>April 24 update:  I&#8217;ve done a quick <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/4tY57Neqnnw\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">gear video<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Backpacking, unfortunately, feeds into my love of gear and obsessing about details.
