Anchor Rode WLL Worksheet

When I was researching for a new anchor and rode for Serenity, there wasn’t a good consolidated source to help select appropriately sized components.  Because I like to visualize these types of problems, I created the attached spreadsheet to evaluate the relative sizes of rope, chain, and shackles for use in a rode system.

The working load limit (WLL) of a rode system is the lowest working load limit of any of its components, or the working load limit of the anchor points to which it is attached, whichever is less.
